The tariffs, coupled with threats of additional penalties, are designed to pressure India into reducing its dependence on Russian oil and military equipment, despite the strategic and economic benefits such partnerships provide

Political Interference and Regime Change Operations

The U.S. deep state's influence extends beyond economic measures, as evidenced by allegations of political meddling. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the U.S. State Department and "deep state" elements of working with investigative journalism platforms like OCCRP and figures such as George Soros to destabilize India. These accusations are not unfounded, given the historical record of U.S. intelligence agencies using similar tactics in other countries 

The targeting of Indian tycoon Gautam Adani and the BJP's charges against the Gandhi family for allegedly teaming up with Soros further highlight the depth of this interference

Strategic Realignment: India's Response

In response to these pressures, India has begun to realign its strategic partnerships. The country has strengthened ties with Moscow and Beijing, seeking to counterbalance the U.S.'s aggressive stance. By drawing closer to Russia and China, India is asserting its independence and refusing to be bullied into submission by the U.S. deep state.

The Open Society Foundations (OSF) and other similar organizations have been particularly active in this regard, using their resources to promote narratives that align with U.S. foreign policy objectives
